Jamming with the Jumbucks at KidsFest – Sunday 21st March 2010

Monday, March 8th, 2010

Audiences at this year’s Big Monkey production of ‘Once a Jolly Jumbuck’ couldn’t get enough of the songs during the show, even getting up and dancing along with the final number.

The songs were so popular, that the cast have been invited back to the botanical gardens for this year’s KidsFest, to perform the songs and teach you some of the dances.

So if you missed ‘Once a Jolly Jumbuck’ over the summer, or if you loved the show and want more, come along to KidsFest at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens on Sunday 21st March 2010 and join in with ‘Jamming with the Jumbucks’.

once a jolly jumbuck

The public season of Big Monkey’s production of Once a Jolly Jumbuck is now in full swing at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens!

Come and enjoy the fun with Cocky, Bilby and all their friends as their lives are thrown into chaos when drought hits Cooee Creek.   If the animals don’t get a fresh supply of water soon they’ll have to leave their beloved home. Matilda the Sheep turns up with a solution and Professor Platypus knows a thing or two but Crow and Brown Snake are lurking, ready to ruin everyone’s plans.

A delightful, truly Australian adventure full of laughs and original songs, Once a Jolly Jumbuck is an adaptation of Les Winspear’s original production of Chaos at Cooee Creek.

Dates and times for the season:

Wednesday – Friday: 11am daily
Saturday: 2 shows per day at 11am and 2pm
